Christchurch Only Charitable Motorcycle Training School
Empower Moto Training
In October 2024 I sat my Basic Training, Competency Based Training Assessment, and Restricted License with Mary Ann.
I was very nervous and anxious, but the one on one instruction and the patience of Mary Ann put me at ease, and I felt so supported and encouraged. She didn’t just grow my skill level but my confidence.
I have carried on and sat my Bronze and Silver ACC funded courses.
I highly recommend Mary Ann, for drivers of all levels and abilities. She is a very skilled instructor who has the compassion and experience to take you all the way. Regards Craig

Meet Mary Anne – Senior Instructor
With over seven years of experience training both motorcycle and car drivers, Mary Anne brings a calm, confidence-building approach to every lesson. She began her journey under the mentorship of Duncan Seed — founder of 2 Drive Safe Rider & Driver Training Ltd and Mainland Motorcycle School, both of which became part of Love Motorcycle Training in early 2024.
Mary Anne’s passion for riding runs deep. Her background spans off-road adventures, motocross, and motorcycle racing, though she remains modest about her achievements. A standout moment in her riding history? She was the first woman to compete in the Burt Munro Street Races when they were still held in Wyndham. You’ll even find a photo of her lined up at the race start proudly displayed in the local Wyndham café.
Whether you’re a nervous beginner or a seasoned rider looking to refine your skills, Mary Anne’s supportive and experienced guidance will help you build confidence and achieve your riding goals — safely and at your own pace.
